Air Bnb hosts in Puerto Rico can try new things to keep the business going

We encourage everyone to stay positive and think of new and interesting ways to earn income during these difficult times.

We want to keep Puerto Rico safe and we want to keep this industry alive for the future.

Be creative, and be resourceful, and you will find new opportunities in these difficult times.

I am sitting here in central California right now thinking of ideas of how to save the island. My heart is there. I love Puerto Rico. I will do everything that I can to encourage commerce, and a bright future. Let’s build.

Here are a few marketing ideas for our hosts:

1. Contact previous guests and offered to send them A pack of printed photographs from the property and surrounding area. You can easily print these at Walgreens. You can charge $30 for the pack with free shipping. Your total cost will be about eight dollars or less.

2. Offer a live video tour for a guest who is physically in a different place of the world. They pay you with PayPal or Venmo, and you will turn on a live Facebook and walk around the town or your local village to show them around and answer questions. Very interactive. They can pay $100 for a one hour tour.

3. You can offer live cooking lessons for Puerto Rican food from your home kitchen. This is awesome for previous guests, or new guests who wish to visit in the future. They can log in for one hour, and they pay $100 and you show them how to create a favorite Puerto Rican dish. WEPA!

4. Live video nature tour. Do you have a tree of avocados or carambola? Do you have interest in birds or a nice view of the ocean where you are? Offer live video eco-tour and nature tours. Only $100 per hour. Imagine a family in California sitting there interacting with you and you are showing them the beautiful nature in Puerto Rico. I would love that!

5. I know there are many websites with many different Puerto Rican items on there for sale. However, it would be great to connect with a host and request specific coffee, rice, or certain products, even souvenirs from Puerto Rico, and you could ship it to the person in the USA. Puerto Ricans have an advantage with shipping because of the United States Postal Service. Use flat rate shipping. Awesome!

6. Connect with car clubs, motorcycle clubs, and different groups. Puerto Rico has many unique clubs, and their counterparts in the mainland would love to connect with them. Do you have some affiliation with a unique group? this is a great way to set up a network to build income. This is awesome way to start relationships for future travel plans, when things are more safe.

7. Do you have a proper Facebook page, YouTube page, photographs, video, and content to promote your Airbnb property? Use this time to work on your business.

8. Reach out to previous guests and ask them to share a photograph and a good experience on their social media. Hopefully, this will generate a conversation with one of their friends who want to stay with you in the future. As hosts, we love hospitality, and we love to take care of our people coming into our homes. We want to meet the rest of the family, Verdad?

Good luck!!!
